Nowadays, most of the industries are affected by harmonics that are generated, in general, by those devices that are non-linear loads for the electric system. Their presence means serious problems for themselves, because damaging those equipments that are more susceptible to the mains quality, also directly affects to the industrial process in which they are involved and finally everything ends in an important economic expenses.
The HC series of SALICRU is a harmonic compensator active filter that cancels all the harmonic currents of the non-linear loads efficiently, it compensates the lagging power factor of the inductive loads and it acts like a virtual resistance to prevent possible harmonic resonance. This way it reduces a lot the distortion of the voltage wave and the temperature in transformers and cables.
Its behaviour is similar to a current harmonic generator: It measures the harmonic generated by the non-linear loads and cancels them by re-injecting new ones, which have the same amplitude but in opposite phase shifting. The harmonic filter of HC series of SALICRU compensates the three phase harmonic currents, being manufactured in harmonic current range from 25 to 200 A of compensator current, and with the possibility of no-limit in parallel upgrading.
